Introduction to the Bible course in Soweto Parish, Nairobi In St. Joachim and Ann Parish, Soweto, something beautiful is taking shape. Fr. Leon Ipoma, the Parish Priest, has began a course on Introduction to the Bible for the young people in his parish. This includes among other things, how to find the books in the big library – the Bible, and how to enjoy reading the Word of God and applying it to their day-to-day lives. Celebrating our Veteran Missionary

  On Tuesday 21/11/2017, six confreres met at the Provincial House in Gigiri Nairobi, to prepare for the forth coming Provinvial Chapter early next year.  Among them was one of the very first missionaries to Kenya,  Bro.  Karl Schaarschmidt,  who was celebrating his 73rd birthday. Brother Karl came to Kenya in 1985 just a few months after the estsblishment of SVD mission in Kenya.  He has since worked passionately towards the development of the province.  Brother Karl is currently in charge of the Development Office. A visit by his Lordship

Last Friday 17/11/2017, we were graced by the short visit by his Lordship Peter Kihara,  the Bishop of Marsabit Diocese here in Burka parish,  Arusha.  The Bishop and his companions among the priests,  sisters and lay,  were on transit from Iringa back to Nairobi. I have seen the Lord

It was another week of quietness and reflection about the very First Love – the motive for which we made a choice to serve.  Last week the second group of SVD confreres retreated to Tabor Hill to recommit themselves to the mission of Christ impeled by His love. Little by Little the Dream Takes Shape

      It was on August 23rd when the first consignment of materials to set up an English medium Nursery School in Matepes, Arusha was delivered. Two months later, the dream structure that will serve the people of Matepes as a nursery school for the children, youth center and catechism classes, has taken shape. The main contribution has been from KIPEKEE, an NGO started by some Spanish medical students, led by Miss Lorena, in cause to respond to the needs of the neighbour, in this case the people of Matepes village located in the outskirts of Arusha.
