The 1st CWA commissioning at St. Joseph Catholic Parish, Chepkanga.
Sunday 30th July 2023 was a colorful day at the new SVD parish in Chepkanga-Eldoret. The day was made special by the 145 beautifully dressed catholic women in their official CWA attire. The event started with confessions on Saturday evening by Fr. Alex, SVD, and then the next day on Sunday by holy mass at 1 p.m. led by the priest in charge Father Daniel Otieno. The church was all in blue and white.
Being the first-ever event in the new parish, the mood was so inspiring. The Catholic Women could hardly hide their excitement and happiness. Some being unfamiliar with the event and the terminologies could be overheard saying that they got “ordained” as CWA.
It was indeed a special day for the parish to receive such diversity and enrichment by the presence of our mothers and sisters in the parish.
We wish our newly commissioned catholic Women God’s blessing and good health of body and mind as they begin this journey of transformation in character and growth in faith in the catholic church and our parish in Chepkanga. Mungu awabariki sana!
