Why Study the Bible?

The Bible is the library of Books that contains the Word of God. The Word of God is the Holy Writings Inspired by God to the writers in order to reveal his love for his people and his plan to save them from sin and eternal death.

If you really care about your faith, you will find time and space to read and reflect on this precious Word of God.

In this booklet, you will get the overall picture of all the 73 Books of the Bible.

There is no other better way to know the Bible other than prayerfully reading it and reflecting on what you read and as a consequence of your reflection to practice what you reflect on.

Living the Word of God is the only way to attain salvation.

Who wrote the Bible?

The Word Bible comes from the Greek word «Biblia» meaning «Books»

The Protestant Bible has 66 of the Palestinian Cannon.

The Catholic Bible has 73; Which includes 7 more books by Alexandrian Cannon.

«Testament» means “Agreement”. «Scripture» is used to refer to “Holy Writings”.

Old Testament Talks about God’s intervention in the lives of the Jews—” The Chosen People” so that through them He could save the World.

New Testament talks about the birth, life, mission, suffering, death, and resurrection of Jesus Christ, the Son of God. Also about the life and the growth of the Early Church under the Apostles and their precursors.

39 OT books were written in the Hebrew Language.

27 NT books were written in the Greek Language.

7 OT books were written in Greek and Aramaic languages.

The Catholic Bible has a total of 73 books.
